Hey Darrell, its Justin, the very proud owner of #19...ha ha!
I just wanted to drop you a line ...I just got back from our Alaska
tour ... and I ran into a few Tracy Lawrence's band members ... and one
of his guitar players wants a mando .. he was blown away by how
well it stayed in tune and how great it sounded ..we were supposed to
talk at the state fair we were both playing and we ended up playing at
the same time so we didn't connect .. I'm currently trying to get in
contact with him so I can give him your info ... although he may have
remembered the name so he may be contacting you at some
point.....also had the mandolin player for Bearfoot play it and he
called it a HOSS... he loved it ... more good words about your mando
...I'll never ever part with, sounding better than ever very meaty
sound..ok well thats all .. hope all is well in that neck of the woods ...
take care
Justin Kephart....... PS. I'm going to be sending you a cd we finally got
done with it about 3 months ago. www.southpawbluegrassband.com

Hello Mr. Sheppard,
I LOVE the Sheppard Mandolin
I brought (#3). I have the one that
your father played. I am having
so much fun with it. Sorry I missed
you at Galax. I see you met my friend
D. J. At Galax. He can really jam on
the mandolin. Almost as good as me.
(Yea Right) I am planning to go back
again this year. I only took forth place
last year. I have been practicing a lot.
I joined a bluegrass band called Made
From Scratch Bluegrass band with another 15 year old. What a lot of fun and
we rock. Hope to see you soon. By the way you have nice family and friends.
They were so nice to me at Galax. See you there.
Jess

Hey Darrell
I don’t know if you remember me or not but I bought your Sheppard F5 #17
mandolin. Anyway, Excellent mandolin it’s been the best sounding hardest
hitting mandolin around I wouldn’t take a million dollars for it. If you get a
chance could you maybe send me some business cards I get people asking all
the time where I got my mandolin!
By the way great website too I check it out at least once a week.
Thanks,
Rocky Carpenter II

I think thats the best sounding
mandolin I ever had in my hands!!
(#22) I think it better than
mine!(#16)
Scott Seyler, Owner of #22
Darrell, Hi have been traveling and haven't played it all that much but here
is my initial assessment. It has the prettiest ring and tone of a mandolin
I have ever purchased right out of the box. It lacks some of the low woodsy
tones that a bigger box would bring, but then again it may come around once
it has 50 hours on it and it breaks in. I think it will be a nice addition to my
mix of mandos and again the ring and tone is surprising very, very good.
Thanks again.

Hey Darrell,
I have to say that I am truly in love with
my mandolin. The sound is amazing!!
The tone is incredible and the volume is
exceptional. The whole experience was
great. You could not have been more
kind to us when we came up there. I am
extremely excited to have this new
mandolin. Anything that I can do to
help, please just ask. Thank you for
everything.
David
